Player Profile Terms

Version: players-v1 · Last updated: October 2026

These terms describe how CueTab handles your player profile — what it is, what we hold, who can see it, and how to delete it.

1. What a CueTab player profile is

When you join a club that uses CueTab, or enter a tournament at one, CueTab creates a player profile for you. It collects the results of games you play on CueTab scoreboards so you can see your own statistics — your rating, your frames, your highest breaks and your record against people you play.

Your profile belongs to you, not to the club. It follows you if you join a second club.

2. What we hold

We holdWe do not hold
Your nameYour payment card details (your club's payment provider holds those)
Your email address and phone number, as your club recorded themAny photograph or video of you
The results of games recorded on a CueTab scoreboard: frames won and lost, scores, breaks, and the date, club and tableYour location when you are not at a table
Your rating at each clubAnything you do outside CueTab

3. How your profile is created

Your club creates your membership; the profile is created automatically from it. You do not have to do anything, and you do not have to sign in.

If you never sign in, your statistics still accumulate and your club's scoreboard still shows your rating. Signing in only lets you see the full history.

4. Who can see what

Your profile is private by default. Nobody can view your full statistics page except you.

WhoSees
YouEverything, at every club you play at
Your clubOnly what happens at that club — your rating there, your games there. A club can never see your activity at another club
Other members of your clubNothing, unless you turn on club visibility. If you do, they see a leaderboard entry: your first name, last initial, rating, highest break and win rate
The publicNothing, unless you choose to publish a public profile. You can withdraw that at any time

Because games are played between two people, your opponent's record necessarily shows that they played you, and in what result. Where your name appears to others it is shown as your first name and last initial.

5. Your rating

Your rating is a number that estimates your standard relative to other players at that club. It goes up when you win and down when you lose, by an amount that depends on the difference between your rating and your opponent's.

Ratings are separate for each club and are never combined. You may have a different rating at each club you play at, and both are correct — each one measures you against a different group of players.

A rating is marked provisional until you have played enough rated frames for it to be meaningful. Practice games do not affect your rating.

Ratings are generated automatically. We do not adjust them by hand, and a club cannot change yours.

6. Accuracy

Results come from scoreboards operated by people at your club, so they can contain mistakes. Where our records of a game are incomplete or have been corrected by hand, we exclude that game from statistics that depend on it and mark the affected figures.

If something is wrong, tell your club — they can correct their record. If you believe your profile is wrong, contact us (section 10).

7. Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your game results for as long as you have a CueTab player profile.

You can ask us to delete your profile at any time. When you do, we remove your name, email address, phone number and your link to every game.

One thing we cannot delete: a game involves another player, and it is part of their record too. We cannot erase someone else's history. So after deletion, those games remain in your opponents' records with your name replaced by "Former player", and nothing in them identifies you.

Your club keeps its own membership record of you separately, under its own arrangements with you.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to: get a copy of the information we hold about you; have it corrected; have it deleted; receive it in a portable form; object to or restrict how we use it; and withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, contact us (section 10). We will respond within one month.

If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with a data protection authority, you may also complain to that authority.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you and ask you to accept the new version. We keep a copy of every version and of which version you accepted, so there is always a record of what you agreed to.

What you are agreeing to

By ticking the box when you join a club or enter a tournament, you agree that CueTab may create a player profile for you and record the results of games you play on CueTab scoreboards, as described above.

You are not agreeing to make anything public — that stays off unless you turn it on.

Future features

We are building CueTab as a platform for cue-sports players. In the future we may add features such as public player profiles, searchable player directories, tournament listings, player-to-player challenges, and the ability for players to follow each other's results — similar to how fitness platforms or professional sports networks work.

None of these features will show your information publicly without your explicit consent. Each feature that changes your visibility will ask you to opt in separately. This section records our intent so you know the direction; it does not grant us permission to do any of it. Each one comes with its own agreement.

If you have concerns about any future use, you can always contact us (section 10) or delete your profile (section 7).

International data transfers

Your data is processed and stored on servers in the United States, operated by Google Cloud (Firebase). International data transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is a certified participant, and by Standard Contractual Clauses included in Google's Data Processing Addendum. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
