Tournament Entry Terms

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply when you enter a tournament at a club that uses CueTab. The club runs the tournament; CueTab provides the software the club uses to run it. By entering, you agree to the following.

1. A tournament is a public event

Tournaments are public by nature. When you enter, you agree that the following may be shown publicly — on the club's CueTab page, on screens in the venue, and in any broadcast the club produces:

  • Your name, shown as your first name and last initial — for example, "John S.". If you don't give a last name, only your first name is shown. Where two entrants would otherwise look the same, a little more of the surname is shown ("John Sh." and "John Sm."). If that still doesn't tell you apart, a letter is added to your usual label ("John S. (A)" and "John S. (B)") — a placeholder the club can replace with something clearer. The club can set a different label for you at any time.
  • Your match scores, frames, breaks and results
  • Your position in the bracket and your final placing

If you are not comfortable with your name and results being public, please do not enter — ask the club about casual play instead, where your name is not published.

2. Recording and streaming

The club may photograph, record or live-stream tournament play, including to the club's social media or video channels. By entering you give the club permission to capture and publish your likeness, name and gameplay as part of covering the event, without payment to you.

This permission covers tournament coverage only. It does not allow the club to use your likeness in paid advertising without asking you separately.

3. How the club contacts you

You provide a mobile number and email address so the club can run the event. The club may contact you by call, text or email about things you need to know: your match times, schedule or venue changes, bracket updates, results, and entry-fee or refund matters.

This is not marketing consent. Promotional messages about future events or offers require your separate agreement, which you can give or withhold without affecting your entry.

4. Your details and your PIN

You choose a 6-digit PIN when you enter. It signs you in at the table for your matches. Keep it to yourself — anyone with your mobile number and PIN could sign in as you. It is stored encrypted; club staff cannot see it, but they can reset it for you if you forget.

The club can see your name, mobile number and email in order to run the event. CueTab stores this on the club's behalf and may access it where needed to operate or support the service. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Entry fees, places and refunds

Entry fees, accepted payment methods and prizes are set by the club, not by CueTab. Your place is confirmed when the club has received your entry fee — entering the form alone does not reserve a place, and places are allocated in the order fees are received.

Refunds, withdrawals and cancellations are the club's decision. Contact the club directly about anything to do with money.

6. Age

You must be 18 or older to enter on your own. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms on your behalf before you enter — including the recording and streaming permission in section 2.

A club may set a higher minimum age for a particular tournament. Where it has, the age is shown on the entry form and a parent or guardian cannot agree on your behalf to enter below it. The club may ask for proof of age at the venue.

7. Conduct and the club's decisions

The club may refuse or withdraw an entry, and decides all matters of format, seeding, rules and disputes. CueTab does not arbitrate tournament outcomes.

8. CueTab's role

CueTab supplies the software. The tournament, the entry fee, the prizes and the event itself are the club's responsibility. Your use of CueTab is also covered by our Terms of Service.

Questions about a tournament should go to the club. Questions about CueTab: support@cuetab.com.
